Connecting Entrepreneurs and Investors to Foster Regional Growth
Golden Capital Network (GCN) is a non-profit organization that seeks to stimulate economic vitality through early stage private equity investment, connecting entrepreneurs, investors, service providers, and policycmakers. Although originally focused on northern California, in recent years they have expanded to help other communities build their innovation economies from within using a grass-roots approach. Navigation North built the Venture Communities portal for GCN, to provide the tools and resources for each region's locally-driven initiative. Regional Administrators are given a customizable interface for connecting to their constituents, with content, local events, and news dissemination. Entrepreneurs are provided a platform to showcase their companies and connect to potential investors. Investors can stay up-to-date on innovation sectors, companies they are interested in, and regional economic developments.
