CTEOnline.org presented at the 2010 ACTE convention in Las Vegas.

California's online CTE curriculum collaboration portal for educators and leaders is changing the rules of how we identify effective practice and share model programs!

Faced with the vital need to accurately document CTE programs across California, and do so in such a way as to allow large, geographically spread educators and leaders to collaborate in the development of course, units, and lessons representing the best their programs have to offer, the California Department of Education took a leadership role in the development of a single, robust educator collaboration portal with CTEOnline.org and is now engaging thousands of educators and leaders in a common curriculum development and sharing model that provides clear and timely data on the most effective practices being implemented statewide.

Quote from Jack O'Connell:
"The Brokers of Expertise Web site is like Facebook for teachers," O'Connell said. "Educators can use this site to innovate and collaborate. Through this virtual social network teachers may share and learn about strategies that improve student achievement. Through the Broker's Web site, we will create a community of newly credentialed and experienced teachers who are empowered to further their own professional development and growth. This exciting tool is the latest in our arsenal to narrow the pernicious achievement gap that currently leaves too many students unprepared for success in the hypercompetitive global economy."
